A review of part of the book I’m reading and what could happen when you change your diet.
This is the title of a book written in 1986 by Annemarie Colbin. I was rereading it the other night and found a few gems that I want to share with you.
Seeing results from adapting your diet isn’t straight forward. It’s not like changing your diet for the better today will give you good health tomorrow. It’s a gradual process that can take days or years depending on what you’re eliminating.
ELIMINATION AND SYMPTOM CHART
WHEN YOU ELIMINATE | YOU MAY ENCOUNTER | FOR |
Sugar | Tiredness, drowsiness, depression, feelings of alienation, lack of coordination | 1 to 5 days |
Coffee | Headaches, shakiness, nervousness | 1 to 10 days |
Alcohol | Tension, inability to relax | 2 to 5 days or more, depending on the extent of the drinking |
Milk and Milk Products | Mucus elimination through the skin, sinus, mucous membranes, lungs, sex organs | Starting up to 3 months after the food was stopped—for a year or two |
